Pachinko Season 2

The second season of Pachinko is set in two different timelines. The first timeline continues the story of Sunja who is faced with tough choices to keep his family alive in the midst of war in 1945. The other timeline is about Sunja's grandson Solomon, who starts a new chapter in Tokyo in 1989 after losing his job.

The season depicts the times when Japan was devastated during World War II, which forced many to flee the city and seek safer places. As Osaka is on the brink of destruction, Sunja reunites with Hansu after fourteen years of separation since Yeongdo, Korea.

Though still angry with Hansu, Sunja ultimately agrees to follow his advice and move her family to the countryside. With the help of Hansu's connections, they find refuge in a farmhouse.

Meanwhile, Solomon's story centers on his efforts to regain financial independence after losing his job. One potential path is to join his father's pachinko business, though Mozasu, his father, strongly opposes the idea.
