Ki Ha Myung lost his family due to false media coverage. His father, who had gone missing after a fire, was wrongfully accused of causing the death of fellow firefighters, leading to public condemnation of their family.

In her desperation, his mother attempted suicide, taking Ha Myung with her. Fortunately, Ha Myung was rescued by an elderly man named Choi Gong Phil, who adopted him and gave him a new identity as Choi Dal Po. They began a new life together on a small island.

Gong Phil's biological granddaughter, Choi In Ha, is the daughter of reporter Song Cha Ok, who had broadcast the news that falsely implicated Dal Po's father. Dal Po secretly harbors feelings for In Ha, but he is torn between his love for her and his hatred for her mother.

Interestingly, both Dal Po and In Ha share an interest for journalism and aspire to become reporters. The drama chronicles Dal Po's quest for justice for his family while also following In Ha and other reporters as they face their own challenges in the field.
